Post Malone – ‘Circles’ Song Review

Post Malone knows the ingredients for a chart-topping single, and his latest melancholic single off of his incoming album ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding‘ is no exception. The track, ‘Circles‘ is a pretty simple track, featuring some expert production from Tame Impala member, Kevin Parker, and it’s very catchy, so get ready to hear it non-stop for a long time.

The track was first teased by Post back at the start of August, before a demo version leaked, as well as numerous live recordings of him performing the track surfaced. We now have an official studio recording, and the standout part of the track is easily Kevin Parker’s production. Post Malone isn’t the first to bring Tame Impala’s psychedelic-alternative vibe into hiphop, with Travis Scott‘s track ‘Skeletons‘ and A$AP Rocky‘s single ‘Sundress‘, both effectively using the catchy guitar and rhythmic bass, iconic to the Australian rockers.

Post Malone is pretty unstoppable at the moment, and given the simplicity and catchiness of ‘Circles‘, I have no doubt he’s onto another winner with this track. A fault with Post Malone’s music, is that a lot of it sounds pretty much the same, which can make his albums a tad boring, but given this changeup with the production on ‘Circles‘, hopefully we’ll get some different music when his new album is released on September 6th.
